As a real estate agent, you're here for one thing: finding your dream home on the beautiful Costa del Sol. But I’m more than just an agent. What makes me unique is the combination of my personal involvement, diverse experience, and genuine desire to help others.
I was born 48 years ago in Amsterdam, the son of a talented musician and a model driven by the desire to improve the world. Five years later, my younger sister was born, who has since become a well-known influencer and helps me with my social media channels.
Although I was born in Amsterdam, I grew up in a quiet neighborhood in Amstelveen. As a child, I often felt different from the others. I was always more involved, wanted to help like my mother, and even though we didn’t always have it easy, we were always there for others. This trait has stayed with me and has only grown stronger over time. Where it once made me insecure, now it gives me strength. I express this strength in the service I provide to my clients – always ready to assist and respond at any moment. Helping someone find what they're looking for brings me more fulfillment than just financial gain.
My father was a true entertainer. With his humor, charm, and music, he could captivate any room. Although I was too shy to do the same, the shyness has long since disappeared. Now, I bring that same personal touch and enthusiasm to my work, creating a different experience for my clients than what they might get from a standard agent. For me, it’s not just about the transaction; it’s about building a relationship that often continues after the purchase.
Twenty years ago, on New Year's Eve, I met my dream woman, Maaike. We instantly clicked and have been together ever since. Maaike always wanted to live abroad, so we left the Netherlands for the sunny Costa del Sol. Now, we are the proud parents to our son, Leonardo, who you might occasionally hear in the background during my calls. And, of course, there’s Max, our sweet dog who’s not always quiet when something needs to be barked at.
Before entering the Spanish real estate industry, I worked in various roles: as a recruiter, in HR, doing payroll administration, and as a training coordinator. After a small burnout, I discovered that sales was my true calling. It wasn’t about pushing products; it was about talking to people, listening to their needs, helping them make the best choices, and then, voila, a transaction happens! After nearly ten years in IT sales, I made the transition to real estate, where everything came together: my experience, my passion, and my desire to help people.
I co-founded the successful real estate office Buenavista Homes with a friend, but after the arrival of Covid, I decided to do things my way. That’s how Costa Specialist was born, allowing me to focus on a personal and transparent approach. Many of my clients come to me through word-of-mouth recommendations from satisfied buyers. You’ve probably found your way here via via, via social media, my website or an ad, and that makes me happy. I’m always looking for new ways to help home seekers.

Everything is possible today thanks to technology, and it doesn’t matter whether we speak for the first time on the phone or shake hands only after you’ve chosen your property. What matters most is that you feel at ease.
